Well it's the most common comment to make when someone falls, slips or the like.
But being graceful to me is more of a way of life, or an attitude.
I just started a book by David Nasser called "a call to GRACE".
I'm only 9 days in to a 39 day experience and its already changing my thoughts on how to be graceful.
Knowing that grace first comes from God is a great place to begin.
And He gives it to us for no other reason then He loves us and cares for us.
It has absolutely nothing to do with how we act or what we say or what we do.
Thats amazing to me, which is probably why one of the most popular songs ever is "Amazing Grace".
It makes me wonder why people don't extend that same kind of grace to each other.
We get it from God and don't deserve it at all but we can't seem to do that for our brothers and sisters.
When someone wrongs us or does something we don't like we tend to cut them out or act wrong back to them.
But that is exactly where our thinking is flawed compared to God's thinking.
God loves us and extends His free gift, we however make people earn our grace.
We keep count and make tally marks of all the wrongs people do and decide they aren't worth it anymore.
What if God did that to us?
Absolutely no one would make it to heaven in that scenario.
Thats a depressing thought.
I guess what I'm getting at is I'm trying to work on being filled with grace for other people.
In the end of the 39 days I hope to have experiences to tell you all to maybe help us all be a little more graceful.
I want to continually learn how to be more like my Savior in every passing day.
I am sharing this because I believe that accountability is the best way to achieve your goals.
If you start something and don't tell anyone you can easily decide to stop.
I hope you got something out of this, it always helps me to write things down.
If you'd like to join me in my journey of grace I'd be glad to share it with someone.
So concludes round two of Macri's Musings.
I want to leave you guys with a quote from the book "Our hopeless nature highlights our desperation for a savior. It's all about grace."-David Nasser, a call to GRACE
Love this and I love you! Way to blog :)
